Our Story.

I've been wanting to start a blog about the adventures of Chase and I for a while...there is so much I could write about, but I thought it would be best if I started us off at the very beginning so you can learn more about our story. So, let's go back about 3 years to the Summer of 2009.

I was 19. Chase was 21. We both worked for a company called RISE Inc. We worked with high risk foster children. I worked with a group called the "littles" and he worked with a group called the "bigs". We never really saw each other often, but he just so happened to work in the same group as my best friends. He invited them to play volleyball with him and some of his friends. I tagged along. We had a lot of fun! I'm pretty sure we played on the same team and we talked for a little bit. He very boldly reminded me (about 5 times) not to leave without him getting my number. I was flattered. As I left, he asked for my number one more time, and I gave it to him. He texted me the next day, and I don't think we stopped talking that whole weekend while he was with his buddies in Las Vegas. He asked me on a date that weekend.

One of the first pictures we ever took together.

We hit it off very fast! On July 17, 2009, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Little did he know he had no idea what he was getting himself into...

We enjoyed what was left of the summer and went on many, many dates. At the end of August I packed up my things and moved to Logan to continue going to school up at Utah State University. He came and visited me pretty much every weekend. We had so many great times in Logan. We love that stinking place!

At an Aggie basketball game.
The Summer of 2010 I moved back home and started preparing to serve an LDS Mission. We enjoyed every chance that we had together before I left in December of 2010 to the California Santa Rosa Mission. He faithfully wrote me almost every single week for 18 months. (19 months if you ask him) He is one dedicated man.

I came home in June 2012 and he was at the airport waiting for me! We hit things off all over again. It didn't take us long to decide that we wanted to tie the knot. Chase shocked me by popping the question in my basement on August 7, 2012. In fact, it was so unexpected that the first words out of my mouth were, "RIGHT NOW?!?"

Engaged. Finally!
I said YES.

In 12 days I will be Mrs. Brittany Lemmons!!! We both couldn't be happier. It's been a long 3 year journey, with ups and downs, that have refined us. We've laughed our guts out together, and we've cried together. We're best friends and we wouldn't change the last 3 and a half years for anything.

That's our story.
